The real Lincoln Highway is ever changing reflection of life along the road: Restaurants close, landmarks gain new owners, roads (really!) get resurfaced so your shocks don’t get that jolt. at every seam.

Here are some quick notes on changes Jeff Blair recorded on his last trip:

• Starke County: Maggie’s Bar and Grill has changed hands. – but the restaurant is still there.
• Marshall County: The Mayflower is foreclosed and the Mobil Gas station has been repurposed.
• Porter County: the road surface is much improved
• Elkhart County,Allen County, St Joseph County: expanded historical notes, including dead end notices for those tracking the original 1913 route.
