Updates coming soon – please check back – thanks
Hello, I watched a documentary on PBS about the Lincoln Highway, well, when I was a little girl, my aunt and my momma ran a truck stop on old US30, a few miles out of Columbia City. This was back in 1957, I believe, the name of the Truck Stop was The Green Ivy Inn. They had 2 motel rooms and a fuel island, just up the road from us was another Motel, don’t recall the name but they had I think 6 or 7 rooms. What was so unique about the Truck Stop was that old old 30 ran behind the place, between a yard and a pond off to the right. I was hoping to read something about this area, but guess ya’ll just don’t have anything on it yet. Feel free to contact me for any information, I will see what I can find out. Thank You, Julieann Reed
